NEW Poster & Educational Session Abstract Submission for the NHCGNE Leadership Conference

NHCGNE is pleased to announce that for the first time we solicited abstracts for either or both poster sessions and educational sessions that will showcase and advance successful models of practice, education, research, and dissemination in the field of older adults and their caregivers.

Thank you to those that submitted abstracts this year. The submittal date is closed.


Abstract Information

    250-words or less synopsis of a gerontological nursing topic that relates to one of the topics listed below
  • Acceptance Decisions
    Final selections will be based on the quality and clarity of the abstract. Decisions on abstract acceptance will be released by August 31st.
  • Abstract Evaluations
    For abstact evaluations, please upload two copies of your abstract; one should be completely filled out and the other should include only abstract information (without presenter identifying information for blinded review.)
  • Selected Presentations
    All selected presenters will receive directions via email on how to submit both their content materials online and their recording.

What Is Involved With a 40-Minute Educational Presentation? 

Educational Session (40-minute) Selected presentations will be pre-recorded and available through December 31, 2022. 
  • A 40-minute oral presentation of an accomplished work or area of interest relating to older adults, their caregivers, health care delivery and/or nursing leadership
  • Selected presentations will be pre-recorded. Instructions for recordings will be sent via email along with notice of acceptance.
  • Recorded educational presentations will be available on demand to conference participants at the beginning of the conference through December 31, 2022.
  • 40-minute Educational Presentations will be considered for CE credit. To be eligible, the abstract submission must include a brief content outline with designated time estimates for each content point.

What Is Involved With a Poster Presentation?

Poster (5-minute) Selected presentations will be pre-recorded and available through December 31, 2022.
  • For selected abstracts, poster authors will construct a 5 minute video recording during which time they will present their work with a brief oral discussion and visual pdf poster.
  • Poster recordings will be available on demand to conference participants at the beginning of the conference through December 31, 2022.
  • Four (4) posters will be selected for live presentation during the Annual Conference Poster Flash Talks Live Pre-Recorded Session.
  • Poster presentations will be considered for CE credit.

    Can someone submit an abstract that was previously accepted at a different conference? 
    Yes, as long as the work was not published
  • Question 2
    Can someone submit an abstract from published work?
    No, we are interested in presentations of unpublished work. Work that is under review, but not yet accepted for publication can be submitted.
  • Question 3
    If my poster or educational session is accepted for the conference, do I have to register? 
    Yes. If your abstract is selected for presentation, you must register for the conference. Abstracts reflecting multiple presenters require conference paid registration for everyone presenting.
  • Question 4
    If my poster or educational session is accepted for the conference, can I use my Complementary Member Institution Registration?
    Yes.
  • Question 5
    I am unable to attend the conference. Could I still present a poster or educational session?
    No. If your educational session or poster session abstract is selected for presentation, you and all listed presenters must register for the conference.
