NHCGNE Red Carpet Awards

General Eligibility

• Nominees do not need to be NHCGNE members to be eligible.
• All nominees must demonstrate contributions that clearly align with NHCGNE’s mission to lead and advance gerontological nursing excellence.
• There can be multiple Red Carpet Caregiver Recognition Awards Winners! All eligible nominees will be recognized.

Specific Eligibility

Caregiver Recognition Award (Formal or Informal)

Purpose: To recognize a caregiver—professional or informal—who provides compassionate, person-centered care to older adults.

Eligibility:

• May be a formal caregiver (e.g., nurse, aide, home health provider) or informal caregiver (e.g., family member, friend).
• Provides outstanding and consistent care that prioritizes dignity and quality of life for older adults.
• May contribute to care innovations, advocacy, or caregiver support within their community or profession.
• No NHCGNE or organizational affiliation is required.

Submission Deadline

• Nominations are accepted year-round.
• To be recognized in the 2025 NHCGNE Annual Conference, submissions must be received by October 4, 2025.

Review & Notification Process

• Nominations will be reviewed by the NHCGNE Awards Committee and approved by the NHCGNE Board of Directors.
• After approval, both the nominator and nominee will receive a formal letter/email with instructions for award acceptance.

Award Acceptance Requirements

To be recognized at the NHCGNE Annual Conference and featured on the Red Carpet Awards website, the nominee must:

• Submit a signed acceptance form (electronic signatures accepted)
• Provide a professional photo
• Submit a signed permission form authorizing NHCGNE to share their recognition publicly
• Allow NHCGNE to include nominator statements alongside the awardee profile

Deadline for award acceptance for 2025 recognition: October 1, 2025
