Increasing Simulation Psychological Safety and Performance Using a Small Language Model Chat-Bot
Alisha Johnson PhD, RN
Dr. Johnson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing. Her program focuses on understanding the complex care needs of older adults and how nursing care models can improve the lives of an aging population. Using systems and team/organizational theories, she seeks to understand how the nursing profession can improve organizational environments, such as long-term care settings, as well as how nursing care models can improve the lives of older adults across healthcare settings and support healthy aging in the place of their choosing.

Integrating Smart Technology in Human Health Outcomes of Exposure to Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB) Research
Presenter: Rebecca (Becca) Koszalinski, PhD, MS, RN, CRRN, FARN, FIEL, FAAN
Associate Professor at University of Central Florida College of Nursing
Dr. Rebecca Koszalinski applies technological solutions to improve the health of older adults. She is the primary investigator for a Florida Department of Health funded study with a large team of investigators, including epidemiology, water, air and environmental scientists (oceanographers), bench and nurse scientists, and nursing students in the investigation of health outcomes of harmful algal blooms, which is a significant problem to address for our Florida population. Koszalinski has several professional designations including a Fellow of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (FARN) and a founding member of the Society of Nurses, Scientists, Innovators, and Leaders (SONSIEL), an organization dedicated to growth and sustainability of nurse-led innovation. She is an AAN Fellow (FAAN; 2025) and was recently awarded the NHCGNE DEGN (2025). Prior to becoming an RN as a carefully chosen second profession, Koszalinski was engaged in bench science in pathology labs as a histologic technician. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2015-2020); an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing (2020-2022); and was a returning Associate Professor at the Florida Atlantic University, Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing (2022-2024) before joining the University of Central Florida in August 2024.
